Ardent, how are we all doing?

On Saturday 17th March, the 2018 NatWest 6 Nations Championship came to an end. An intense competiton saw Ireland win the Grand Slam in emphatic style on St. Patrick's Day.

We English people, on the other hand, went on a 2 game win streak at the start of the competition, beating Italy and Wales, then we went on a 3 game loss streak, like the pros we are...yeah.

Sadly, in our last game against Ireland, (15-24 to the Champs) Anthony Watson (who went to my junior school) injured his Achilles, whilst Elliot Daly (who went to my senior school) was busy scoring for us.

We wish Anthony the speediest of recoveries and we send love out to his family.

The Final standings, have Italy in 6th place with 1 point and 0 wins...yep..

5th place was England with 10 points.

4th was France with 11 points and 2 wins...including a victory over us.

In 3rd we had Scotland 13 points with 3 wins...they beat us, somehow..

Second was Wales with 15 points and 3 wins (At least they lost 12-6 to us!)

And the champions of the 2018 NatWest 6 Nations Championships, winning all 6 games was Ireland.

The competition was great fun to watch and very emotional for we England fans. Hopefully we will take something away from this and use it for better in the future, but congratulations to the champions, Ireland, and well played to all of the players.

Have a great day, Ardent Nation!
