Ardent Black History Month

On Monday 15th October 2018, Ardent made an appearance at Newcastle University's Black History Month exhibition. What an experience!

The president of the Afro-Caribbean Society (ACS) at the university, Kemi Adediran (https://www.instagram.com/urbandeclaration) organised an amazing event in which businesses and students could showcase what they had to offer, alongside with some great talks, a business panel, a mini talent show and a catwalk (in collaboration with the fashion society at the university).

We showcased our Ardent 1s throughout the event and also I took part in sharing on the business panel. We spoke about maintaining and balancing life with all that's going on at the moment. Also, we spoke about the importance of standing out and what we do to stand out from the competition and how to go about it. It was overall a successful event.

Furthermore, we had the pleasure of having some of our Ardent 1s being worn in the fashion show, in collaboration with the fashion society and ACS. This was a special event as it really brought so many people of so many backgrounds and different races together. It brought unity. It was like a synthesis of the people, which was what the whole Black History Month event represented, and it's what we represent.

All in all, October 15th was an amazing day. and I would like to take a moment to congratulate everyone who took part in making the event so special, especially the president of ACS, Kemi.

Salute.
