Wow! The 2 hour barrier has been an elusive barrier that nobody has ever reached in a marathon. The closest was Kipchoge himself in Berlin in 2018 when he ran an astonishing 02:01:39 (still the official world record), but no one has ever been able to do better. Until today! Eliud Kipchoge did the impossible on Saturday 12th October 2019.
